I brought my 13 year old VW Passat Station wagon to Shirlington Shell for a complete check and overhaul since I will be going overseas soon and need to be sure that I have a reliable car. When you have a car of that age you need to get an honest assessment whether the repairs involved are still worth it or not. A friend had recommended the place and I am very happy I followed her advice. The staff were friendly, not pushy at all, and they told me why certain repairs were essential and others not. The repairs were not cheap but afterwards the car was running as smoothly as it hadn't in years. Nobody can ever give you a guarantee when it comes to an old car but now I feel confident taking it overseas. Thanks for taking care of one of my worries! I highly recommend Shirlington Shell, particularly for owners of old VWs since they have some experts on those cars and models working there.
