Moving to Virginia was always a scary thing for me. Getting acclimated to the new environment, like which auto shops should I go to for my car problems, were one of my concerns. This is where I happened across Shirlington Shell Service Center. Yes, it's a little further drive than some service centers that are close to me (about an 10 - 15 minute drive, for the record, some other service centers were literally around the block for me). But I chose it because of the great reviews it has. And I was not disappointed. Customer service is always great. Friendly, small talk, is always there. My state inspections have always gone without a hitch. If there were issues, they were explained to me in concise layman terms that allowed me to feel as if I know what the issue is. Too often, body shop technicians will try to sound smarter than you by using terminology and wording to exacerbate the issue at hand to sell you the fix. I never got that with Shirlington. The wait times are a little long. Even if I get there early in the morning, I might not get my vehicle back until afternoon before closing. I attest this to the reputation and trust the community has placed in this service center. This is a good sign, not a bad one. It's like what they say about tattoo parlors, if they're not constantly booked, they're not good tattoo artists. I look forward to returning here. Each experience has been as pleasant as the last.
